Kindle App for iPhone Now Goes International

by Simon Ng on December 15, 2009

Kindle for iPhoneRemember the Kindle App for iPhone that was introduced in late February? When it was first released, Amazon only made it available for US customers. As the Kindle device goes international, on Monday, Amazon also rolled out the Kindle app for iPhone to more than 60 additional countries.

The Kindle app is free-of-charge and you can simply search “Kindle” in App Store of your own country to download it. If you haven’t heard of Kindle app, it’s an eBook app developed by Amazon that lets you read Kindle-formatted books on iPhone. This is one of the Amazon’s initiatives to allow users to read books on multiple platform/devices. The Kindle app also comes with a service called whispersync, that keeps track of the latest page you’ve read in any given book across both your Kindle device and iPhone. For the complete review of Kindle app, you can refer to the earlier post.

If you enjoy reading eBook on mobile device, the Kindle device is a perfect one for you and one of the best gifts for Christmas. The Kindle device is now available globally. Check out more here.
