1Password for iPhoneTo celebrate the release of 1Password 3 for Mac, Agile Web Solution is now offering you a free gift for you. The 1Password Pro for iPhone, originally costs US$7.99, is now free for download until Dec 1st.

1Password Pro is a very useful iPhone app when you have a lot of passwords to remember. It serves as a central and secure place, which is protected by an access code and a master password, to store all the important information (e.g. credit card, bank account info) and login password for websites. Once launched and unlocked with the access code, you can view the login account and what so called “Wallet” that saves important information for credit card, bank account, passport/membership number, etc. To login a website (say, Facebook), simply the the saved URL and 1Password will open it with its internal browser with username & password populated automatically.

The 1Password app offers two levels of protection: access code only and access code + master password. By default, the logon profile is protected by access code only. But for some login accounts with sensitive information (e.g. Paypal), you can enable the master password protection to enhance the security. To access the login account, you’ll need to provide the master password, in addition to the access code.

If you have purchased the Mac or Windows version of 1Password, the 1Password iPhone app also allows you to sync the password information with your computer. Actually, it’s a two-ways synchronization. That mean, when you add a login profile on your computer with 1Password, it’s automatically synchronized to your iPhone when it’s within the same WiFi network and vice versa.

I highly recommend 1Password Pro to those with a lot of passwords to manage. Even you do not think you need 1Password app for now, I still suggest you to download the app first. Anyhow, it’s free (until Dec 1st)! You never know when you’ll need it. Act quick and click this direct iTunes link to download 1Password Pro.
