by Simon Ng on November 3, 2009

Twidget for iPhoneWith a jailbroken iPhone, one of the great things you can do is to tweak the iPhone lock screen. There are quite a number of cydia apps available to make your lock screen more useful. For instance, the Lock Calendar app lets you display calendar event on the lock screen. Or the more advanced cydia app named IntelliScreen even allows you to put calendar, email, text messages, news, sports, and weather information.

For twitter-savvy users, you probably wants to have an app to put your tweets on the lock screen. Twidget is the must-have cydia app for you.

Twidget is an innovative application developed to revamp the iPhone lock screen and dedicated to display tweets of your Twitter account. The app is available via Cydia and completely free for download. Before using the app, make sure you also install Winterboard on your iPhone.

How to Install Twidget on iPhone

To use Twidget, simply search “Twidget” in cydia and install the package. After installation, tap on the “Twidget” icon and launch the app. At this point after launching the app, what you have to do is to key in your twitter account and password. The app will automatically save your account for later use.

I have tested Twidget on jailbroken iPhone running iPhone OS 3.1. But as claimed, it should also support lower version of firmware. Leave us comment and share your thought about the application.
