In less than two hours, GeoHot will release the first iPhone Unlock Solution (known as blacksn0w) for baseband 05.11.07. Other than that, he has also developed an update of blacksn0w (i.e. RC3) that makes this popular jailbreaking tool for iPhone 3.1.2 even better.
It’s an imminent release for iPhone jailbreaker without official sim. Hacktivation is now integrated into blackra1n. Here I sum up the improvement of the blackra1n RC3:
- Hacktivation support – Great addition. Now even you’re not using an official SIM, blackra1n can activate your iPhone.
- Even faster jailbreak process – It only shortens the 30-seconds jailbreak process by 15 second.
- Mac Tiger + PPC support
At Noon EST, 5 PM GMT, you can download the blackra1n RC3 at blackra1n.com. Both Mac and Windows version are available.

blackra1n ruined my phone it is crap I follwed directions but when I install rock it locks afterwards
I’ve read quite a few times that purplera1n not supports the tetherd jailbreak on the 3gs but it doesnt on myne can some1 pleade help!!

Purpleara1n is not update-to-date. You may try out blackra1n, which is the latest version of jailbreak tool that supports jailbreaking on iPhone 3GS. You can refer to the jailbreak guide for further info.
