Mobile2Mobile iPhone App: Is This Number an AT&T Mobile-to-Mobile Number?

by Simon Ng on October 29, 2009

mobile2mobile-logoAre you using AT&T wireless network with your iPhone? If you’re an AT&T customer, you probably know what mobile-to-mobile calling is. It’s common for mobile carriers to provide free call (or at lower rate) for intra-network call. For AT&T, it also offers similar service named as Mobile-to-mobile calling, normally bundled in iPhone’s rate plan, that allows you to make calls to and receive calls from any other AT&T mobility customer anywhere in U.S. without using your anytime package minutes. That means, you can make free calls to your friends or coworkers on the AT&T wireless network.

The problem is: How do you know the number you’re calling is also on AT&T network?

With over 100,000 iPhone apps in App Store, there is an iPhone app for that! Developed by Plainly Productive and named as “Free Mobile2Mobile”, the iPhone app lets you check for family and friends on your Mobile to Mobile network. The interface is very simple and it only focuses on doing one single thing: verify if the number is an AT&T number. To use the app, first logon with your AT&T account. Then simply enter a mobile number and the app will tell you the number is on AT&T network or not. That’s it! The app also saves your logon credential securely for future logon. So, for later use, the app will log you on automatically.
