As Apple advertised, there is an App for that! Now, there is an app to remotely control a car with iPhone.
Cooperated with Freie Universität Berlin, Appirion developed the first iPhone app called iDriver to remotely control the “Spirit of Berlin”, the autonomous car of the university.
The app is not available at App Store and it’s used for a demonstration & research project. But as you’ll see in the demo video, it’s so amazing to remotely control a real car using iPhone. The app is very simple with buttons for acceleration, brake and steering. These commands are sent to the car via Wifi and there is a camera to stream the live view to the iPhone.
Check out the video and see it in action:
Some days in the near future, you probably can download this app from App Store and remotely control your car.
