Despite HTC Hero theme is still in beta, quite a number of readers are trying to dress his/her iPhone with this great theme. By now, the HTC Hero theme is not available yet. So, to install this theme on iPhone, the only way is to download the theme and transfer to iPhone manually.
Here comes to the guide that shows you how to install HTC Hero theme on your iPhone. Before we begin, your iPhone should have been jailbroken and you should have some basic knowledge of Winterboard and SSH. If you do not heard of them or you’re not too familiar of any of them, read the following articles first:
Both Winterboard and SSH are required for manual installation of HTC Hero Theme. So, make sure you know both before continue.
Download HTC Hero Theme
First, download the HTC Hero theme from devianart and extract the zipped file. After unzip, you should have two folders – iVillain.theme and WeaterWidget.theme.
Transfer the theme folder to iPhone via SSH
Next, launch WinSCP (for Windows) or Cyberduck (for Mac) and connect to your iPhone via SSH. Go to the “/Library/Themes” folder and transfer both “iVillain.theme” and “WeaterWidget.theme” folder to your iPhone.

Launch Winterboard and Enable the theme
Once you successfully copy the theme folders to your iPhone, you can then launch Winterboard. Select both “WeaterWidget” and “iVillain”. Also, make sure the order is correct. “WeaterWidget” should be positioned above “iVillain”, otherwise, the weather widget will not be able to displayed. When you’re ready, press the Home button to activate the HTC Hero theme.

Oops… You need iBlank to Rearrange the icons
After respring the springboard, the HTC Hero theme should be activated. But it looks like this…

The installation is not finished yet. You still need to do a little bit of configuration to rearrange the icon. To arrange the icons, you’ll need to install iBlank from cydia. iBlank is a hacked application that lets you create blank icons. With iBlank, create 12 blank icons and move them to the first home screen.

So, when complete, you should only have 3 visible icons left. For me, I leave my favorite apps including Camera, Messages and Safari on the home screen.
That’s it! You have turned your iPhone interface to HTC Hero’s Sense UI.

Two more tips for Advanced Users
Configure Weather Widget
By default, the weather widget is set to display the weather of San Francisco. To show the weather of your country, edit the /Library/Themes/WeaterWidget.theme/Private/configureMe.js and change the locale property to your city (with country specified). Then copy the file back to your iPhone and relaunch Winterboard. The theme will then show the weather of your preferred city.

Configure Default Applications
You can also configure the “.” and “+” icons to activate your preferred application. Originally, the “.” icon launches the Winterboard app, while tapping the “+” icon will show the Contacts. Say, you want to change the “.” and “+” icons to launch “BeejiveIM” and “Facebook” respectively. You can simply navigate to /Library/Themes/iVillain.theme/Icons. Then rename “Contacts.png” to “Facebook.png” and “Winterboard.png” to “BeejiveIM.png”.

Thanks for justflikwalk of deviantart to bring us this great theme. Enjoy!
