Apple recently released two new iPhone TV commercials to promote iPhone 3GS. Instead of demonstrating the unique features of iPhone 3GS, the TV ads continue with the “There’s an app for that” series to show you some great iPhone apps. The two new ads are called “Share” and “Travel”.
The “Share” ad focus on demonstrating the built-in ability of iPhone for data sharing and multiplayer gaming. Three iPhone applications are highlighted in the ad, including:
- Mover [Free, iTunes link] – a cool app for sharing photos, contacts and other data with nearby iPhones
- Bump [Free, iTunes link] – another cool app for contact sharing. Simply bumping two iPhones together to swap contact
- Scrabble [$4.99, iTunes link] – the classic crossword board game but allows you to play head-to-head against with another iPhone user via Wi-Fi or even Facebook
The second ad shows why you should bring the iPhone with you while travel. It highlights three great iPhone applications for travel:
- Rick Steves’ Historic Paris Walk [$4.99, iTunes link] – a personal tour guide on iPhone. It provides travellers with an interactive, multimedia guide tour for Paris.
- Paris Metro 09 [$4.99, iTunes link] – offers a geographically based map and route planner for major transportation systems in Paris. The map includes the Metro, RER, Tram and Vogueo services.
- Postman [$1.99, iTunes link] – allows users to create amazing digital postcards using their own photos & custom greeting and send the postcards to your friends via email, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and other services.
