A couple days ago, Microsoft has rolled out an early preview of its new search engine – Bing.com. As mentioned in the earlier post, Bing.com looks pretty good but it doesn’t support iPhone (or mobile phone).
Today, Microsoft has officially released a mobile version of the search engine. Simply point your mobile Safari to www.bing.com or m.bing.com, you can then try out Bing.com on iPhone.
Like Google’s mobile search, the Mobile Bing is a stripped-down version of its own search website. The interface is very simple with the search box as its core. While the web version of Bing received many positive feedback, the mobile version does not offer any outstanding features that can outperform Google. To me, I still prefer Google over Microsoft’s Bing. Google gives more comprehensive search results and a more streamlined user interface (hey, Google Suggestion is really great and a time saver).
I have performed two simple searches with iPhone and Paris as search terms on both engines and here are the results:
