Since I was seven, I know I can never become an artist. Probably, that’s why I admire those who can draw beautiful paintings.
Today, the news about an artist uses iPhone to paint New Yorker Cover Art has drawn much attention. That’s what so called Finger Painting.
The artist Jorge Colombo drew the magazine cover entirely using an iPhone app called Brushes, while standing outside Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Times Square. While most of us are using iPhone for communication, it’s really amazing to see someone use it to paint and the drawing is simply awesome.
Colombo only got his iPhone at the beginning of Feb and immediately purchased the Brushes application to entertain himself. As he told New York Times, he loves Brushes that allows him to draw anytime and anywhere:
It “made it easy for me to sketch without having to carry all my pens and brushes and notepads with me, and I like the fact that I am drawing with a set of tools that anybody can have easily in their pocket,” he said. There is one other advantage of the phone, too: no one notices he is drawing. Mr. Colombo said he stood on 42nd Street for about an hour with no interruptions.
