Do you use Gmail on iPhone? If you’re a regular Gmail user and with iPhone 2.2.1, this is a good news for you. Google has further improved Gmail on mobile and now it gets labels. Labels in Gmail allow you to manage your inbox by categorizing emails in color-coded tags. I love the label concept in Gmail and am very glad to see Google brings it to iPhone.
To label an email on iPhone, simply select “Label as…” from the drop-down menu. Then select the label you would like to use and apply it. Gmail for mobile also allows you to add and remove existing labels.
Wanna try out this new feature? Just point the Safari browser to Gmail.com and enjoy it. But please note that the improved Gmail will only work on iPhone 2.2.1. If you’re using lower firmware version, you will not find the new features.
