There is one feature that you can find on iPod Touch but not on iPhone. Guess what? The support for Nike+. I really love the introduction of Nike+ support in iPod Touch 2G to track my run.
For those who haven’t heard of Nike+iPod, Nike and Apple have teamed up to deliver a great integration between sports shoe and iPod. Specially designed for iPod, you can put in a sensor into your Nike+ sport shoe that the sensor keeps track of your run and sends the data wirelessly to your iPod Touch, which has already built-in receiver. The data is then analyzed by a built-in Nike+ application that shows you the elapsed time, distance of your run, and calories burned. Cool, right? It’s particular useful for regular runner to fine-tune your workout.
But the downside is it’s only available on iPod Touch 2nd generation. Like me, probably some of you are looking forward to the Nike+ support on iPhone.
Today, iSpazio has discovered a Nike+ feature on iPhone 3.0 beta 5 and iTunes 8.2 beta (see the NikePlus.com in the photo).

It may suggest Apple will open up the Nike+ support to iPhone. However, we do not have any confirmation from Apple about that. Anyway, I hope this will come true when the next version of iPhone releases. And, I can bring my iPhone to track my run.
Stay tuned. I will keep you update the news.

This is the one feature that I have been waiting for. I never wanted an Iphone because I would have my nano and a Iphone with me at all times. Can’t wait till the WWDC to see if this comes true.
I’m wondering if it’s only going to be available on the 3G S’s? Looking at their website, that’s how it appears to me. I really want to be wrong on this. I love my Nike+ but I would love it even more if it didn’t involve me running with my beat up old Nano.
@Kali, you’re right. Nike+ support will only be available on iPhone 3G S. You won’t get it on iPhone 3G or 2G, even upgrade to iPhone OS 3.0.
Apple Sucks!! just a money making Company. Another way for them to make money. Anyone who wants Nike+ on Iphone will have to buy the new one? WTF are they doing!!
@Dave
A company wanting to make money? Trying to work out new ways to make money? Who would have thought it? I suppose you consider that Apple has some sort of altruistic duty to satisfy everyone’s technology needs for cost?
Clown.
