iTypeFastr v1.1 has been released and updated with extra characters & emotion icons. If you have heard of iTypeFastR, it’s a revamped iPhone keyboard that targets to let you type faster with few typos. For more information, you can check out my earlier post for the review.

As mentioned by the developer of iTypeFastR, over 20,000 copies of the application are downloaded since its launch. They have gathered a lot of feedbacks from user.And, the new version of iTypeFastR is built based on those valuable user requests. In brief, iTypeFastR v1.1 comes with the following changes:

1. Added extra characters and emoticons – Now included: &, %, ~, ^, |, \, GBP and ‘bullit’ characters on the numeric keyboard, and more emoticons: as well as and :-p
2. Fixed the third party app support and improved the cooperation with the Skype app

With a week experience on iTypeFastR, I started to get used to the revamped keyboard with minor changes of key layout. The big key size does help and let you type with fewer errors. Especially, I love those pre-defined emotion characters.
