iTunes UpdateApple has released iTunes v8.1.1 that bundles support for HD movie rental. Quoted from Apple’s release note, the release also includes a number of bug fixes:

iTunes 8.1.1 adds support for renting HD movies and provides a number of bug fixes, including addressing issues with VoiceOver and syncing with iPhone or iPod touch.

Probably, what you concern about is whether the update will impose any impact on the jailbroken iPhone. So far, I do not experience any issue with iTunes 8.1.1. Jailbroken iPhone can sync with this updated version smoothly. But if you encounter any issues with this update, please do leave me comment and let all readers know about it.
