Beejive Inc has released an update for BeejiveIM, which is by far the best IM application for iPhone. BeejiveIM 2.1 adds the support of Facebook IM and wallpaper selection for chat.
Support for Facebook IM
You can log with your Facebook account, see who’s online and chat with your Facebook buddies directly. BeejiveIM also allow you to change your profile pictures and update status. To add your Facebook into BeejiveIM, simply go to “Accounts” and tap “+” button. You’ll see a “Facebook IM” option. Tap on it and add your Facebook account.
Wallpaper Selection for Chat
So, you don’t like the background for Chat? BeejiveIM 2.1 lets you select your own wallpaper for the Chat. Simply tap “More” and then “Set Wallpaper”. BeejiveIM will bring up a selection of wallpapers. You can also select a wallpaper from your photo album or simply take a new picture directly.

so what is the benefit of chattnig through the BeeJive Facebook IM as opposed to just using the facebook app and the chat feature?
@skp, BeejiveIM consolidates all contacts in a single app. You can use BeejiveIM to chat with friends from MSN, Yahoo Messenger, AOL, Facebook IM, etc directly. But for Facebook app, you can only chat with friend on Facebook.
BeejiveIM is like a universal client that connects with all kinds of IMs.
can someone help me. i use beejive for texting. and i like the sounds for receiving and sending messages. but the inactive ringtone i dont like(like when the screen in off and the phone is locked). i just need to find that file and i will figure out how to change it. my phone is jailbroken and i am able to ssh. i want to change that to the tritone sound like the regular texting has. plz help. thanks!
