The Facebook team has updated its iPhone application to version 2.2. Same as the previous update, this update focus on bug fixes and stability improvements.
According to the official release note from Facebook team, here are the major bug fixes:
1. Fixed timestamps issue – While the 2.1 update claimed to fix this, it didn’t. This time it’s finally fixed and the fix is tested thoroughly.
2. Fixed Chat issue – Chat now allows you to go offline or back online if you have chosen to go offline from the web. This should resolve the problem many users experienced where they were not able to send chat messages.
3. No more duplicate friend issue. Again, this bug is claimed to be fixed in previous version but it didn’t. Now this bug should be fixed.
4. No more app crashed when tapping the notifications tab.
5. After deleting messages from the Inbox, they will no longer come back when you restart the app.
6. The Quotes section of profiles will no longer bug out when the quotes were really really long.
7. Stability improvement for “See All” in the photo browser – You shouldn’t experience any application crash when using this feature.
8. The photo viewer is much less flaky, so it is not as easy to accidentally tag a photo.
If you’re using Facebook application on iPhone, go ahead and download the update on App Store.
