Phone Number Format Fix for iPhone 2.2

by Simon Ng on January 5, 2009

Some of the readers reported that the phone number format is incorrectly displayed after upgrading & to firmware 2.2 and with jailbreak. This format problem is especially experienced by those users in countries where iPhone is not officially supported.

The issue does not affect the functionality of the iPhone. You can still make or receive calls. However, the international prefix, area code and phone number are incorrectly separated with dash or space.

Developer, Carlo Franchino, has released a format fix to resolve this issue. The fix will only work for firmware 2.2. You can download the fix from Cydia (Source: iSpazio.net).

For the list of supported countries offered by this fix, you can check out the details in this PDF.
