Some time ago, I have reviewed Apple’s Remote application. For those who haven’t heard of Remote, it is an iPhone application developed by Apple to let you remote control iTunes and music playback. For detailed review, you can check out this post.
Nam Chu Hoai, a young brilliant iPhone developer, takes such remote control idea further. As mentioned in his blog, he’s developing a Remote Control application, known as Nam’s Remote. This remote application allows you to control both Mac and Windows applications using iPhone. As you’ll soon see in the demo, one big feature is you can use iPhone as game controller.
On top of this big feature, presently, Nam’s Remote supports varies kinds of applications:
System:
Explorer(Windows), Finder(Mac), Touchpad, Numpad, Landscape Keyboard
Media:
Powerpoint, iPhoto, (Photoshop)
Media Players:
VLC, FrontRow, Windows Media Center, Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic
Nam’s Remote will soon debut in App Store. For now, enjoy a preview of Nam’s Remote via YouTube first. Enjoy!
