Hello I have a slight problem with unlocking an iphone 2g 16gb on software version 2.2.1. I updated to 2.2.1 with itunes and followed all instructions with quickpwn 2.5. The problem I have is: Iphone shows T-Mobile sim, which is correct, but I cannot make or receive phone calls or send and receive sms. It says call forwarding active…and a voice mail. When I call the voice mail service it doesn’t work. When I add the simcard into another phone, there is no voice mail. When I go into the phone settings it says call forwarding active - forwarding to “error” and I cannot move the slider. I can’t do anything within the phone settings. Everything is greyed out. I added an orange sim into the iphone to see if it recognises it, but it shows “no service”…any other sim card doesn’t work either. I tried unlocking with a simcard in the phone and also no simcard in the phone. Both times it didn’t work. I unlocked many iphones and this is the first one that doesn’t work. This phone has been previously activated with O2 on a contract, but the owner then gave me the phone as a present. I really don’t know what else to do. Please let me know…and many thanks.
I also downgraded it to software version 2.2, and tried to unlock it, but no luck.
Cheers Stef

I've upgraded to 2.2 couple days ago and I ran into serious problem...First my Wifi is no longer working (my wifi activation feature is now Grey out...meaning i cannot turn on the wifi in this case) and 2nd problem i encountered is the battery life is now only lasted for not more than 6 hours. This is weird because my iPhone was in perfect condition because I decided to upgrade its to 2.2. It seem to me that it's time to buy a new one because there is no U-turn, it can't be downgraded to the previous 1.1.4 version to see if the wifi and battery is working the way it should. What a bad step forward....bong

i used pwnage to jailbreak my 3G after updating it to 2.2 and everything went well. my friend who has a first generation asked me to do the same for his. i figured his would need the update so i updated it to 2.2 it said that it needed to be reactivated. so we activated it through pwnage. the phone is now on and working but the calls arent going through and it says he has no service. safari works, and so does the gps. he called AT&T and they said it wasnt his plan that it was his phone but gave him no further information. what could cause this or how can i fix it?

I recently bought a 3G iPhone and used QuickPwn v2.2 for Windows to jailbreak. I got success in jailbreaking it, but now I am stuck as it gives me "NO Service" Status and am unable to get any carrier service. Any patches or any fix to this problem. Please help.

hi guys
ok, i just bought a new iphone 3g along with a turbo sim. I put my sim card with teh turbo sim and everything seemed to work fine up until i updated it to 2,2. Ofcourse, i was stupid and pressed restore thinking that it would fix the problem. But now the phone wont do anything except emergency calls, and on itunes it says "the sim card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported" and i cant open anything. PLEASE does anyone have a solution?? im reading tons of forums but no one talks about a solution... everyone only says dont update, and dont restore.. well i did!! so what now??

Cydia doesn’t work after upgrading from 1.1.4 to 2.2
______

SOLVED!

when using Pwnage, do not download any Cydia installer or apps. Do so only at the next step where Cydia and Installer are checked automatically!

Tada! :D

*pwned multiple times by saying NO to whether I have 'pwned my phone before'... ignore all error messages... :) it works for me somehow...
