Hi Simon,
You really saved my iphone. I lost complete hopes on it at one point because I upgraded my 1.1.4 2g to 3.0. There was some problem with redsn0w software. Then I found your guide and just followed all the steps. Now I am in 2.2. Only one thing is how can I get back all my music since I made a copy of Itunes library in my external disk? Now I have itunes 8.0.2 version. Please help me in this ..

Thanks again

Hi Simon,

Once again I upgaded iphone from firmware 2.2 to 2.2.1 successfuly.

Thanks dude....You rock!!!

Simon,
Is it possible for you to develope some application through which we can reset our Iphone passcode.

Actually I forgot my passcode and after several tries Iphone was disabled and prompt to connect to Iphone. After google, option I left here here was to restore. So It will be great help for Iphoneians if you can share some 3rd party tool through which we can just reset our iphone psscode without going for restore option.

Error: "iphone is disabled connect to itunes"
Solution as of now : Restore

Regards,
Tapesh

@Justin, try to use <a href="http://www.simonblog.com/2009/06/25/complete-guide-jailbreak-iphone-3-0-using-redsn0w/" rel="nofollow">redsn0w</a> instead in case quckpwn doesn't work for you. Also, I suggest you to upgrade to iPhone 3.0 directly.

HEY simon,
I am uprading my iphone from firmware 2.0 to 2.2 using your method...
everthing works fine, but after everything is selected in quickpwn as you said and when i click the next button after it reconfirms that whether the iphone is connected or not...it just shows "Wait for ur iphone to connect in recovery mode" in bold letters and nothing happens...the phone does not go into recovery mode....
WHAT SHOULD I DO??
