Daniel, I don't offer upgrade service. QuickPwn is quite easy to use. I suggest to give it a shot. Quite a number of readers, who are not geeks, can upgrade the firmware successfully.

Dear simon

Do you provide the service to do the upgrade ... from 1.1.4 to 2.1? I have 2 units. I do not have the time to figure out all the upgrade jargon.

Chris, I believe your iPhone is a jailbreak one instead of unlock (currently only iPhone sold in HK is unlocked). For jailbreak, it means your iPhone can install 3rd party application via Cydia or Installer. Both Pwnage tool and QuickPwn also support to jailbreak iPhone 3G. You can follow the procedures mentioned in this post. But remember select iPhone 3G (instead of 2G) during upgrade.

Hi Simon,

I have an unlocked iPhone 3G running 2.0.1 and if I understand correctly, I can update to 2.1 using QuickPwn? Or will it then be locked again?

Hey how can I downgrade to 2.0? Do I just install the custom firmware I had from pwnage tool of 2.1? I figured, 2.1 has much bugs, including the number that arent recognized, as I mentioned before.
