Travel to Greece & Paris for 16 days – The Itinerary

I have not been blogged about travel for quite a long time. It’s that awesome iPhone that takes up nearly all my posts since I bought it last Oct. Now, it’s time to talk about my travel (of course, I traveled with my iPhone).

My wife and I are just back from Paris. We had a 16 days trip to Greece & Paris. I’ve spent quite a great deal of time & efforts to plan this trip. This is not the first time for me to travel both destinations. But it’s still not so straightforward to come up with a perfect itinerary for a 2-weeks trip. So, I thought it’d be great to share my trip with you. This may not be the perfect itinerary to you. However, you may take it as reference when you’re planning a similar trip.

It’ll be too lengthy to write up my trip with one post. I prefer to break it up into several posts. The very first one in the series is the itinerary. This itinerary is not tightly packed with places of visit, activites and things to do that needs you to wake up at 7 in the morning and back to hotel at 11pm. It’s a more relax one and we really enjoy it!

Greece & Paris Trip

Day 1 Hong Kong —> Athens (by Air France)

Day 2 Athens (Arrive at around 2:30pm)
Accomodation: Hotel Adonis
Place to visit: Plaka, Syntagma Square, Monastiraki

Day 3 Athens —> Mykonos (by BlueStar Ferry) (07:35 – 13:00)
Accomodation: Hotel Omiros
Place to visit: Mykonos’ town centre, Windmils of Kato Mili, Little Venice

Day 4 Mykonos
Accomodation: Hotel Omiros
Place to visit: Paradise Beach
Activity: Join the beach party

Day 5 Mykonos
Accomodation: Hotel Omiros
Place to visit: Mykonos’ town centre, Paraportiani Church

Day 6 Mykonos —> Santorini (by Hellenic Seaways) (14:35 – 05:30)
Accomodation: Shine Hotel
Place to visit: Imerovigli

Day 7 Santorini
Accomodation: Shine Hotel
Place to visit: Fira, Old port
Activity: Ride the donkey

Day 8 Santorini
Accomodation: Blue Dolphins
Place to visit: Fira, Oia

Day 9 Santorini
Accomodation: Blue Dolphins
Place to visit: Perissa Beach, Santo Wines, Megalohon, Red Beach
Activity: Rent a car

Day 10 Santorini —> Athens (by Hellenic Seaways) (11:45 – 15:55)
Accomodation: Hotel Economy
Place to visit: Plaka

Day 11 Athens
Accomodation: Hotel Economy
Place to visit: Acropolis, Ancient Greek Market, Temple of Hephasetus, Monastiraki
Activity: Athens Happy Train

Day 12 Athens —> Paris (by Air France) (12:45 – 03:45)
Accomodation: Hôtel de la Porte Dorée
Place to visit: Along avenue Daumesnil

Day 13 Paris
Accomodation: Hôtel de la Porte Dorée
Place to visit: Bastille, Notre Dame Catherdral, Champs Elysees, Museum du Louvre

Day 14 Paris
Accomodation: Hôtel de la Porte Dorée
Place to visit: Sunday market, La Seine, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees, Arch of Triumph
Activity: Batobus river boat

Day 15 Paris —> Hong Kong (by Air France) (Depart at 23:45)
Place to visit: Rue Mouffetard, Saint Germain des-Pres, Pantheon, Tour Eiffel
